Event Description

Tom Townsley has been a leading light in the Central New York blues scene for nearly thirty years. He currently fronts Tom Townsley & The Backsliders, a four piece combo considered one of the best and most entertaining groups the region has seen. Tom's playing and songwriting have been heralded in Blues Revue and Living Blues, as well as numerous local publications.
Tom has played with Jimmy Rogers, Pinetop Perkins, Henry Gray, and a number of other national acts during their Syracuse appearances--and his band has opened for many more. In addition to his duties as a performer, Tom hosts WAER FM88.3's "Sunday Night Blues Show" from 6--10 pm every Sunday--a position he's held since 1986.
