Event Description:
Music, and jazz in particular, has often led the way in breaking down racial, generational, and international barriers. Monk Rowe will present excerpts from videotaped interviews gathered for the Fillius Jazz Archive that highlight this important role that jazz has played in America and around the globe. Live and recorded musical excerpts will provide an audio connection to these informative and poignant stories offered by some of our iconic jazz artists.
